How to get Your Visitors to Return. Helpful Things to Know

After you have done all the hard work required to get traffic to your website, you want to keep that customer. You want that visitor to come back again and again. In other words, you want repeat traffic. Repeat traffic is more likely to become a buying customer. They have been introduced to you and are slowly getting to know and trust you.

Here are several ways to get that repeat traffic which will benefit your site much more quickly.

One way is to update the pages on your website frequently. Sites that remain unchanged may not longer show up in the search engines. The search engines love fresh new contact, and so do visitors. If a visitor checks back and sees things have not changed, why would they return again?

One of the most important thing to do to ensure you get repeat traffic is to grab those valuable e-mail addresses. This can be done by creating a squeeze page with an auto-responder form, such as AWeber or GetResponse and putting it on your site to invite customers to “opt in” for a free report, ebook, or some sort of discount.

This may sound too simple, but it can be effective to simply remind your visitors to share your site. You can add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’ or you can ad a link ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ so that the visitor can email your website link to their friends.

Branding is an important thing to consider when creating your website. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. The look and feel of the page can accomplish this. It is also a good idea to create a contact page and policy page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site. And one last page that might be helpful is a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers concerns in their first visit to your site.

Once your visitors leave, they may think of coming back later. using the appropriate titles and keywords on each page, may make it easier for you to be found later.

Basically, if you treat your visitors with respect and give them plenty of quality content, you can keep them returning to your site again and again.
